The Peoples Yoga Teacher Training Program: Teaching Experiential Anatomy

  • The Peoples Yoga (Mississippi + NE Locations) 855 North Failing Street Portland, OR, 97227 United States (map)

I’m thrilled to be back for another year of teaching Experiential Anatomy in The Peoples Yoga Teacher Training Program led by Abby Kraai. Details and links below.

DESCRIPTION: The first 200 hours (the immersion) will focus on developing your understanding of yoga as an embodied and evolving process. The last 100 hours (the teacher training) will focus on preparing you to teach.

This training will place a strong emphasis on developing your own personal practice, practical anatomy, yoga philosophy, and teaching methodology. With a breadth of experience in yoga study and teaching, Abby brings a grounded understanding of yoga as a physical, emotional, and spiritual endeavor.

Drawing on somatic practices such as Body-Mind Centering and the Alexander Technique can at once renew and deepen the experience of yoga. Somatic practices are about getting to know ourselves yet more intimately; entering a safe and informed practice that responds to our ever-changing needs as dynamic organisms and reclaiming the ability to make our own choices about our bodies.
