Moving Within: Body-Mind Centering® Somatic Movement Education Series

I am pleased to announce that I'll be co-facilitating the Moving Within movement education series with my colleague and leading School for Body-Mind Centering (BMC) educator Mary Lou Seereiter. Dive deep into somatic inquiry with 4 essential BMC course offerings that span the realms of perception, reflexes, and developmental movement. Courses may be taken as a series or individually and are open to all. Class size limited. Register to reserve your spot to delve deep into BMC’s approach to understanding movement, the body, and consciousness.

These courses are part of the Somatic Movement Educator Program and count toward certification from the School for Body-Mind Centering. Courses can be taken individually or as a full sequence. These are the four core developmental courses for the Somatic Movement Educator Program and the Infant Developmental Movement Educator Program, IDME. These are the courses required prior to completing IDME 1, 2.

Capacity limited to 6 participants. Priority provided to those taking the full course series (4 courses).

Unpacking Downward Facing Dog through Experiential Anatomy

Join Wendy and Suniti Dernovsek for an in-depth experience with downward facing dog. We will embody our skeletal structure to understand its role in this foundational asana. By virtue of the bones knowing themselves, alignment becomes dynamic—not a formula, the complexity of form clarifies. We will learn to reference our personal experience and develop a sense of one's own body. Through movement, models, pictures, and touch students will bring clarity to downward facing dog. What is discovered can be applied to a wide range of poses.

Cost: $40/class | $140/4 classes
